About us

A break by the lake, close to Rome

Stella del Lago is a sandwich spot on Via dei Laghi in Marino, inside the Castelli Romani Park. At the counter we carve Ariccia PGI porchetta by hand, cook sausages on the griddle and prepare boards of local cured meats and cheeses. You eat outdoors, on the terrace overlooking Lake Albano, about 25 km from central Rome.

Before you set off

Where is Stella del Lago?

At Via dei Laghi 18, Marino (RM), in the Castelli Romani, overlooking Lake Albano. Coming from Rome, the lay-by is on the right. On Google Maps we are listed as “Stella del Lago – Paninoteca Porchetta”.

How far is it from Rome?

About 25 km from central Rome: take Via Appia Nuova and then Via dei Laghi.

Is there parking?

Yes, free: about 20–30 parking spaces in our lay-by, on the same side of the road as the food truck.

What is on the menu?

Sandwiches with Ariccia PGI porchetta carved by hand, griddled sausage or hand-carved ham, boards of local cured meats and cheeses, olives, vegetables in oil and seasonal greens, rustic sweets and ice cream. To drink: soft drinks, Castelli wine and coffee.

Can we eat outdoors?

Yes, at the tables on the terrace overlooking Lake Albano.
